Biography of Imam Ali A.S.
Imam Ali A.S was born on 13 Rajab 16years after Hijra in the holy place of Ka'aba located in Meccah.
He was also martyred on 21 Ramadan 40 years after Hijra.
His tomb was located in Najaf, Iraq.
His wives includes Fatima Zahra daughter of prophet Muhammad PBUH, Umaymah,Zaynab,Ummu Baneen,and Khaulah bint Ja'afar.
His childrens are accounted as 35 or 38 in other narrations.
His parents are Abu Talib bn Abdul-Mutallib and Fatima bint Asad.

His Nicknames/Kunya is Abul-Hassan.
His Imamates period: 29 years (11-40 AH).
It was narrated Imam Ali was born inside Ka'aba in Mecca and her is from Quraysh tribe,the father of Imam Ali was also an uncle to prophet Muhammad PBUH,Abu Talib was the caretaker of the Ka'aba and was also a saint which is more important to the Quraish tribe.
His Mother Fatima bint Asad is from Bani Hashim, to Imam Ali it is a very good luck to be from from Banu Hashim from both side that's from the mother and Father's side.
And also Imam Ali is from the descendants of Prophet Ismail bn Ibrahim A.S.
From his early childhood, Imam Ali spent 6 years with his father later Prophet Muhammad PBUH proposed Abu Talib to offer him Imam Ali and be with him.
When Prophet Muhammad was commanded to start the preaching visibly and revealed the prophecy Imam Ali was 10 years old and he is the first among men to submiss and accept the Islam and support his brother Prophet Muhammad PBUH in Mecca.
